About Us
Our manufacturing plant has grown and become fully automated with the capacity to produce thousands of pieces each day. With streamlined processes, turnaround times are as quick as 5 to 7 working days.
Our process involves sourcing the highest grade medium-density fiberboard (MDF) specifically formulated for producing cabinet doors. The back of the MDF is pressed with a highly durable melamine from the mill. Fully automated CNC machinery routes the MDF utilizing diamond-tipped tooling to exact size cabinet doors and drawer fronts with specified designs. Tight tolerances are achieved due to the CNC machinery having a fixed gantry and moving table design.
Parts are inspected, labeled, cleaned, and then moved onto the staging area where they are organized for the membrane press operation. Membrane Pressing is the process by which a 3D Laminate is bonded to MDF using adhesives during a heated thermoforming cycle. This process enables components to be made with contoured surface profiles and seamless edges, eliminating the need for edge banding and special edge treatments.
St Cloud Door Co. carries hundreds of in-stock designs ready to be produced along with over 50 different stock thermofoil finishes. For certain projects requiring specific designs or colors, our fully customizable systems allow flexibility and speed to deliver the optimal product on time.
